Waterproofing with APP and SBS bituminous membranes
Reinforced APP/SBS bituminous membranes are a proven roof solution when membrane selection, substrate, priming and application details are properly checked.
APP SBS bituminous membranes with technical system selection
Reinforced APP/SBS bituminous membranes are a proven roof solution when membrane selection, substrate, priming and application details are properly checked. Bonding is carried out on a suitably prepared surface with bituminous primer and torch-applied heat welding, so the layers form continuous waterproof protection.

Surfaces and uses
The final choice follows checks of substrate, slopes, drains, existing layers and future use. With SBS or APP bituminous membranes, special attention is given to 10-12 cm overlaps, seam pressure with hand rollers, terminations and perimeter upturns on parapets, so the membrane is fully bonded and forms uniform, reliable waterproofing.
Materials, details and application control
Application is organized with cleaning, bituminous primer, correct overlaps, torch welding, seam pressure, perimeter upturns, terminations and APP or SBS selection according to exposure and project requirements. For this reason it should be handled by qualified crews with relevant project experience.
Application follows sequence and control
Each page describes a different material, but Ergomonosi follows the same logic: inspection, preparation, correct application and delivery.
- AssessmentMoisture, slopes, drains, old layers and constraints are checked.
- ProposalMaterial, preparation, cost, schedule and guarantee are defined.
- ApplicationThe crew follows the correct sequence of layers and details.
- DeliveryFinal checks are completed and maintenance guidance is provided.
FAQ
The answers are indicative. The final solution is confirmed after an assessment.
Is this suitable for every roof?
Not always. Substrate, existing layers, slopes, use and budget determine whether it is the right choice.
Is maintenance needed after application?
Every waterproofing system benefits from periodic checks of drains, details and possible mechanical damage.
